Stephanie Lake

Stephanie started dancing in Tasmania with Stompin Youth Dance Company and Tasdance.

She graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts in 1999 and has since performed with Phillip Adams' BalletLab, Lucy Guerin and Chunky Move in Australia and around the world. In 2000 she received the Green Room Award for Best Emerging Dancer and won the Melbourne Festival Choice Award for Trike which she co-directed.

She has had choreographic commissions from Chunky Move (in 1999, 2001 and 2003), the VCA and Stompin as well as collaborating on James Brennan's Piglet.

Stephanie was the recipient of an Emerging Choreographers Grant in 2001 with which she created Love is the Cause. She is also performing in Lucy Guerin's Plasticine Park as part of the 2003 Melbourne Festival.
