Michelle Heaven
Michelle Heaven graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Dance in 1992 and Masters of Dance Performance in 2000. She has made extensive contributions as a performer and collaborator to both live theatre and film, working nationally and internationally with many prominent Australian choreographers and directors such as Sue Healey, Phillip Adams, Gideon Obarzanek, Lucy Guerin, Michael Kantor, Douglas Horton, Sandra Parker, Tracie Mitchell, Kate Denborough, Rebecca Hilton and Leigh Warren.
Michelle also creates her own work within the media of dance movement, puppetry, film and video. She is a recipient of The Dame Peggy Van Praagh Choreographic Scholarship, The Australian Post Graduate Award (Industry) Scholarship and Victorian Green Room Award in the category of Female Dancer. Michelle is a 2007/08 SCOPE participant and was nominated for a 2007 Helpmann Award as Female Dancer for her role in the award-winning Tense Dave, (Chunky Move).
Michelle choreographed and performed disagreeable object a duet with performer and collaborator Brian Lucas, designed by Ben Cobham. Michelle also performed in Two Faced Bastard (Chunky Move) and Appetite (KAGE).
